We’re Broke is a Lame Answer
January 27, 2011 by ItheConsumer.
Although I thought President Obama SOTU was a little lame, some of the responses I have heard were still lamer; however, the lamest response I heard so far comes from Speaker Boehner. For if that was the case than shouldn’t we lay him off. And though I am open to that idea I don’t think others in Congress would find it that funny. Because why one could say that the Republicans have accomplished their mission in bleeding the government dry, others might say it is Speaker Boehners’ Opinion that we are broke since the government still functions today. In any case, I still believe Speaker Boehner wins the award for the lamest response to President Obamas’ SOTU.

2011 State of the Union
January 25, 2011 by ItheConsumer.
As the Media spends all day and tomorrow talking about how President Obama and the Republicans will address the issues facing America, I do hope that the Leaders of the Media will have their own State of the Union as they look at how their industry impacts the civil discord over the issues and what they can do to bring their commentators and reporters together in order to show the American Public that we can disagree and still work toward being agreeable. For why I do not have any insight on what Americas’ Democratic and Republican Leadership will discuss given their limited time. However, having became Politically Aware in the 1970’s and watched as My Brothers and Sisters of the 70’s have worked hard to build a better life for their children I do not believe Americas’ Civil, Political, and Religious Leaders are ready to return to life as we knew it 40 years ago.
So why I listen as the commentators and pundits give their points of view, aware that President Obama and the Republican Leadership will not be as radical as me in projecting the future of America and her role in the world over the next year. I hope they recognize that their behavior and words over the next few days matters. For why I expect that Americas’ Democratic and Republic Leaders are going to come loaded for bear. As they point out the difference of America going “Green” or spending the next year catering to those who fear leaving the comforts of the 20th Century. I do believe this TV celebrities owe it to the American People, their Media Employers and Stockholders, and even their profession to be the honest broker envisioned by Americas’ Forefathers and Ancestors.
For why the State of the Union is a report card from Americas’ Democratic and Republican Civil, Political, and Religious Leaders, it is also a reflection of how well Americas’ Media has done their job in informing the American Public of the State of Affairs we find ourselves in. Thus, as the commentators and pundits work to compose themselves and their words I wonder how well they will do their job in reporting “The News” which will be created as President Obama and the Republican Leadership attempt to set the agenda and tone for America moving forward over the next year. For why it is easy to get caught up in the drama like the one last year when someone called the President a liar; however, not knowing what stunt someone will try this year to divert the Media. I can only hope the Leaders of the Media can keep their employees focused of reporting the State of the Union.
