Outlawing All Human Reproductive Federal Funding
Can one of My Peers or Community Elders explain to me why it is ok for a Man to use Federal Money to protect His Reproductive Rights, but not ok for a Woman to use the same Federal Money to protect Her Reproductive Rights? For whether you are Pro-Choice or Pro-Life on the abortion issue, do you really want to get into a public debate on how letting men have their health insurance pay to help keep them sexually active will lessen the need for unwanted abortions? So, why I do believe that Every American should maintain control over their Personal Reproductive Rights. I do believe that if Federal Funded Health Insurance, Medical Procedures, and Research are to be restricted than All Human Reproductive Federal Funding should be stopped.
For why such an amendment would change the Status Quo I do think that it would help in lowering the costs of healthcare insurance for all Americans. In fact, as an Anti-Authoritarian Child of the 70’s I would hope that Reasonable People would see that any federal funding toward the elimination or promotion of Life could be seen as stepping on the Civil Rights of Others. Since, with over population, limited resources, and the high costs associated with the Human Reproductive Systems could be seen as having an ill effect on Government and Society.
Yes, President Obama and others on the Left and Right may believe maintaining the Status Quo is a good idea; however, the idea that others would rather outlaw the federal funding of abortion while allowing the same money to be used to created unwanted pregnancies or permit health insurance companies to charge all their policy holders for people not able to get pregnant medical procedures does raise some interesting questions that I doubt if the Men of Congress would feel co0mfortable talking about with the Women of Congress.
So why the Anti Abortion and Abortion Groups may have dog in the fight over the Federal Funding of All Human Reproductive Rights, I wonder if they care to debate how any federal funding of Sexual Activities can be seen as fair and equal. Especially since I can use the same arguments to say it is wrong for a Woman to use their Medical Insurance to pay for a Societal Unwanted Pregnancy or a Man to use His Medical Insurance to pay for his inability to contribute. Because if the Standard is “Gods’ Will” over Mans’ or Womans’ Freewill than I do hope for the Children of the 21st Century that Congress can make a fair and equal compromise in the healthcare reform bill.
